📖 Health Conditions Guide

Plain-language info to help you understand common conditions. If in doubt, contact your doctor or nearest clinic.

❤️ Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
High blood pressure means your heart works too hard. You usually have NO symptoms — called the "silent killer."

⚠️ Emergency: Severe headache, blurred vision, chest pain → seek medical help immediately.

Get your BP checked regularly — many pharmacies offer free checks. Never stop medication without your doctor.
🍬 Diabetes Type 2
Blood sugar builds up and damages the body if not treated.

⚠️ Warning: Very thirsty, urinating a lot, blurred vision, slow-healing wounds, tingling feet.

Never stop medication without your doctor. Wound that won't heal → go to a clinic immediately.
💨 Asthma
Airways narrow, making it hard to breathe — especially with exercise, cold air, dust, smoke.

🚨 Emergency: Reliever inhaler (blue pump) not helping after 10 minutes → call your local emergency number.
🎗️ HIV / ARTs
ARTs (antiretroviral treatment) control the virus. Ask your doctor or local clinic about access to ART where you live.

Take every day at the same time. Never miss doses. Undetectable viral load = cannot pass HIV to others (U=U).
🫁 Tuberculosis (TB)
TB is curable with 6 months of treatment. Never stop early.

⚠️ Symptoms: Cough 2+ weeks, coughing blood, night sweats, weight loss, fatigue → go to a clinic immediately. Ask about testing options in your area.
🧠 Mental Health Check-in

Rate each 1 (poor) to 5 (great) — just for you.

🎗️ Organ Donation — Give the Gift of Life

One organ donor can save up to 7 lives, and tissue donation can help many more. Every country has its own system — some ask you to register, in others you are a donor unless you object. Ask your doctor, or search online for "organ donor register" together with your country's name.

⚠️ The most important step everywhere: tell your family. In practice your family is asked at the time — registering AND telling them your wishes is what truly makes you a donor.

💡 Once registered, set "Registered organ donor" under Profile → Medical Information — it will show on your health card and emergency screen.
